El propósito del artículo consiste en estudiar el gubernamentalmente denominado Proyecto Educativo Democrático interrogándonos acerca de qué fue educar, para qué se educó, para quiénes, y cómo en el primer gobierno postdictatorial, a partir de la lectura, análisis y comparación de distintos documentos publicados por el Ministerio de Educación y Justicia entre 1983 y 1989.
El contenido de lo expuesto corresponde a un capítulo de la Tesis de Doctorado El olvido está lleno de memoria. Las políticas de Educación de Jóvenes y Adultos durante el gobierno de Alfonsín (1983-1989). Un estudio de caso: el Plan Nacional de Alfabetización.

Abstract
The article purpose consist to immers in the study of the Educational Democratic Project asking about what was to educate, for what, for whom, and how in the first post-dictatorship government, from the reading, analysis and comparison of different documents published by the Ministry of Education and Justice between 1983 and 1989.
The contents of the above corresponds to a chapter of the Doctoral Dissertation Oblivion is full of memory. Youth and Adult Education Policies under President Alfonsin (1983-1989). A case study: the National Literacy Plan.
