A partir de la implementación de una campaña de donación de audífonos realizada junto con empresas del medio, se entregaron 95 audífonos a personas con pérdida auditiva en la Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). Los objetivos de investigación fueron: describir las características de la adaptación y utilización del audífono en los beneficiarios, desde ellos y sus familias; caracterizar la participación de la familia en el proceso de adaptación y utilización del audífono y por último analizar la relación entre la participación de los miembros de la familia en la adaptación y uso del audífono y la percepción sobre su calidad de vida que manifiestan las personas beneficiarias. Nos preguntamos ¿Cuál es el papel de la familia en la adaptación protésica? ¿Cómo influye el uso del audífono, en la percepción de calidad de vida? ¿Cuál es la relación que existe entre la adaptación y utilización del audífono con las dimensiones de calidad de vida percibida por los beneficiarios? ¿Cuál es la percepción de calidad de vida de estas personas a partir del involucramiento de sus familias en la adaptación protésica? Podemos afirmar que la percepción de calidad de vida de las personas que han recibido audífonos se relaciona directamente con la utilización y la adaptación al mismo; así como con el involucramiento de sus familiares, ya que la mayoría de los beneficiarios han podido utilizar mejor el aparato, cuando sus familiares se han comprometido activamente con ellos y que efectivamente el audífono ha significado un cambio positivo en sus vidas.

Abstract
Since the implementation of a campaign donation of hearing aids made together with companies in the Middle, surrendered 95 hearing aids to people with hearing loss at the Autonomous University of Juarez City (Ken). The research objectives were: to describe the characteristics of the adaptation and use of headset to the beneficiaries and their families; characterize the family involvement in the process of adaptation and use of the headset and finally analyse the relationship between the participation of members of the family in the adaptation and use of the headset and the perception of their quality of life that manifest the beneficiaries. We wonder what the role of the family in the prosthetic fitting? How will the use of the headset, influences the perception of quality of life? What is the relationship between adaptation and use of the headset with the dimensions of quality of life perceived by the beneficiaries? We can say that the perception of quality of life of people who have received hearing relates directly to the use and adaptation to it; as well as with the involvement of their families, now that most of the beneficiaries have been able to use better, when family members have been actively engaged with them and that the headset has effectively meant a positive change in their lives.
